What about this instead? It doesn’t mention renovating or changing it! ‘A warm welcome awaits you at Harry’s Stable. The first time we came to view North Grange there was a plague on the stable door bearing the name ‘Harry’. When we moved into the house the plague had been removed but we always referred to the stable as ‘Harrys’. The name has stuck and we now welcome visitors from all over the world.

A warm welcome to our newly renovated cottage, Harry’s Stable. We moved into this beautiful house in 2008 and spent the last 7 years modernising and renovating the whole property. when we first viewed the property we noticed a plaque on the original stable door with ‘Harry’ on it. When we moved into the property the plaque had been removed but we always referred to it as ‘Harry’s Stable’. Unfortunately the original stable was in a very poor state so we decided to rebuild it as a garage. In 2011 we opened ‘The Pigeon Cote’ as a holiday cottage, we have been welcoming guests from all over the world since then and thoroughly enjoying it. In 2014 we decided it was time to introduce a 5 star cottage, and Harry’s Stable was born!

The Lounge
The lounge is home to a large L-shaped sofa, perfect for stretching out on for those cosy movie nights in. There’s also a handsome armchair to curl up on with that book you’ve been meaning to read for months. The lounge comes equipped with a smart HD TV, top quality sound system and Wi-Fi. Underfloor heating throughout ensures you are nice and toasty whatever the weather.
The Kitchen
The bespoke kitchen includes handmade cream units and a chunky granite work-top. There’s a dishwasher provided as well as a washing machine if needed. The cupboards are well stocked with glassware, crockery and everything you’ll need to rustle up a hearty dinner. Sitting beside the kitchen you’ll find the charming dining area, bathed in sunlight streaming in through the windows it’s a lovely spot for dining at any time of day.

Both bedrooms in this luxury cottage are on ground and upper level and both come equipped with flat screen TVs. The generous master bedroom has a stunning queen-size bed with a luxury feather topper, duvet and crisp white bed linen; a heavenly place to wake up each morning. In the corner of this room you’ll find a fabulous copper bath just calling out for long candle-lit soaks. The second bedroom is equally charming, with its country-chic style and beautifully dressed double bed, also with a feather topper. There is an additional mezzanine floor in the cottage which houses a day-bed, TV and PS3, the perfect escape for teens and adults alike!
The Bathroom
The house bathroom is also on ground level, a show-stopping wet room with an enormous walk-in shower and copper sink. All complimented with a generous hamper of luxurious Temple Spa bathroom products.
The Outdoors
There is much to enjoy outside this beautiful property as well as in. French doors from the lounge lead directly out to a lovely landscaped patio of stone and gravel set beside a horses’ paddock. Outdoor furniture and a BBQ are provided so you can enjoy a balmy evening dining al fresco with only the horses next door to keep you company. The gorgeous setting provides uninterrupted views of the glorious Yorkshire countryside.
Breakfast Hamper
To really finish off your cottage experience, be sure to get yourself a locally sourced breakfast hamper full of everything you need to have a free range, authentic english breakfast. Each portion include two pieces of sausage, bacon, tomatoes and eggs and then a piece of black pudding, mushrooms and beans. £16 serves 2 portions. *celebration hampers – enquire for more details, requires 48 hours notice*
